About
The web platform is aimed at travelers, nomads, students, people who want to meet other people and other places, socialize and live in a community. It includes coliving-style properties, in addition to offering rentals in the platform's own coliving space.
Project
This project was developed for a job vacancy.
Methods and techniques
Desk Research, benchmarking, crazy eights, wireframe, and high fidelity prototype.
Tools
Figma, Illustrator, paper and pen.
Discovery
The idea of coliving is that people can help each other with everyday issues, from preparing breakfast to sharing clothes and objects. For a person to be part of a coliving, they must previously identify themes and objectives that connect them with other residents.

Understand
I carried out in-depth research to better understand the topic and the audience. I realized that there are several models of coliving housing to serve different audiences, but with a common objective: save resources and offer a flexible lifestyle.
Then I researched good practices in hierarchy, accessibility and shortcuts for web platforms. Therefore, I applied a market analysis where I compared Coliving platforms based on some guidelines.

Define
At this stage, I determined the essential features for the platform with the aim of a simple and fast experience:
- Filters by user objective
- Easy access to relevant information
- Presence of shortcuts
- Lean text
Based on Nielsen heuristics, I planned the platform sections on a navigation map, where I compiled areas and items for information extraction.

Ideate
Already knowing that the solution should be a platform, I applied the ideation technique that I consider to generate more ideas in a short space of time: Crazy Eights. At this stage I tried to generate a well-structured Home Page, highlighting the filters and coliving spaces offered.
Design
I chose to develop the layout in desktop orientation to visualize the solution on a larger scale. I tried to include the most important information without taking up too much space on the screen.
I decided that the platform should be as simple and clear as possible. I tested different layout options for Home page to achieve the goal.

Layout
To make the solution tangible, I created a Logo that I called Viiva Coliving. The idea is based on sharing and connections. I built the Style Guide with vibrant colors and soft shapes to communicate directly with the platform's audience.

The platform meets users' needs by offering a simpler way to search for pre-defined objectives that are based on research data.
Prototype
I'm providing the link to access the interactive prototype and any feedback is welcome! Viiva Coliving prototype
To consider
For future implementations I would like to work on some improvements, such as:
- Replace the banner area to focus on the search filter, as it is one of the main ways to navigate the platform
- Change the Community page layout to highlight the benefits of this option
- Modify the structure of the homepage cards to highlight the platform's own houses
- Work on the content structure of the booking modal on the villa page to be able to select more than one room
- Develop the payments part thinking that it is a quick and uncomplicated process, as it is a step that commonly frustrates users
Learnings
Despite never having been involved with the topic, I enjoyed the challenge as it allowed me to take a further step in terms of prototyping, where I explored different types of interaction and animation within the context of the project. Now the goal is to learn more about motion design because besides being an area that I'm interested in, I can design the visual responses of the solutions I work on.
